The “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2” Phenomenon: How the Release of This Game Caused a Surge in Gaming Gadget Sales

After the release of “S.T.A.L.K.E.R.” 2 on November 20, stores recorded a sharp increase in sales of gaming laptops and accessories. Special demand was observed during Black Friday for monitors, consoles and other gaming equipment.

The release of “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl” became not only a high-profile event in the gaming world, but also influenced the gaming gadget market. The release of the game on November 20 provoked a rapid increase in sales of gaming laptops, consoles, monitors and accessories, especially during Black Friday. This was told to UNN by the Comfy chain of stores.

The release of the new part of “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2” invigorated the market. We immediately noted a sharp surge in sales of gaming laptops and various accessories. The trend is still relevant. And not only in Ukraine

– Comfy told us.

The network notes that it was during Black Friday (from November 23 to 29) that the trend for buying monitors and in general for the entire gaming category increased: game consoles, laptops and accessories.

We note that the release of “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2” fell on November 20.

In general, the official minimum system requirements for “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl” are:

– OS: Windows 10, Windows 11

– Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X/Intel Core i5-7600K

– RAM: 8 GB

– Video card: AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

– Disk space: 150 GB

– Additionally: SSD

Recommended requirements:

– OS: Windows 10, Windows 11

– Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X/Intel Core i7-9700K

– RAM: 16 GB

– Video card: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8GB/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB

– Disk space: 150 GB

– Additionally: SSD

The manufacturers of the game note that the age of the computer should not exceed 10 years for the normal functioning of the game.

For a comfortable game at high settings, a computer with GTX 1080 Ti or RTX 2070 Super is enough, which is quite a democratic option, because these video cards are already considered outdated.

At the same time, the game will take up as much as 150 GB of free space, and considering the SSD requirement, this can be a serious challenge for many players.
