The pseudo-activist Stakhiv was left in the pre-trial detention center, but allowed to pay a bail of more than 900 thousand hryvnias

On Thursday, November 28, the Halytskyi District Court of Lviv extended the preventive measure for pseudo-activist Ostap Stakhiv. He was left in pre-trial detention center, but was allowed to post bail in excess of 900 thousand hryvnias.

This is reported by Suspilne.

The court session on the extension of the protection began on Wednesday, November 27. However, the suspect's lawyer asked for a break.

The next day, November 28, the Halytskyi District Court of Lviv made a decision. Stakhiv was extended a preventive measure in the form of arrest with the right to post bail in the amount of UAH 908,400.

Stakhiv will be in custody until December 25 if he does not post bail.

Ostap Stakhiv — what is known about him

In November 2021, Stakhiv — one of the main anti-vaccinators of Ukraine — was suspected of plans to overthrow the constitutional order. Then Stakhiv denied the official information about the coronavirus on social networks. He was released from pre-trial detention on bail of one million hryvnias.

In February 2024, the Babel publication reported that the Lviv blogger, after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, created a network against mobilization. In his videos, he said that the CCK «kidnaps and tortures people», and — builds concentration camps.

On July 23, the Security Service of Ukraine reported that it had detained a provocateur and seven of his accomplices who called for armed resistance mobilization. The media reported at the time that it was an associate of anti-vaccination activist Ostap Stakhiv—Zhan Novoseltsev, who once worked as a correspondent on Channel 1+1. He was sent to custody on bail of 242 thousand hryvnias.

On September 25, Stakhiv was informed of suspicion of leaking information about the deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
