The Poinsettia does not like to be hardened off. How to care for its leaves so that it blooms all year round

The poinsettia, also known as the poinsettia, is one of the most popular ornamental plants, especially during the holiday season.

To enjoy its beautiful, red flowers for a longer period of time, proper watering and care are necessary.

Buying and Transporting Poinsettias

When choosing a poinsettia, pay attention to look for specimens with fully colored bracts and bright green leaves. Avoid plants with signs of pests, such as whiteflies. When transporting poinsettias, wrap them in paper and leave them in the packaging for a few hours after bringing them home to avoid thermal shock.

Watering and Growing Conditions

Poinsettias do not tolerate hard water, so it is best to water them with filtered water or rainwater. Place the plant in a place with moderate temperatures, avoiding sudden changes. With proper care, the poinsettia can be a delight to the eye even until spring, adding a unique charm to your interior.

How to care for the poinsettia?

The poinsettia, also known as the poinsettia, is a beautiful plant that requires special care. One of its enemies is sudden changes in temperature. Poinsettias grow best in stable conditions, at temperatures between 13 and 22 degrees Celsius. It is worth avoiding drafts and places where the temperature changes frequently.

Watering and water quality

Watering the poinsettia is crucial. It should be done regularly, but in small quantities. The plant will tolerate temporary drying out, but too much water can lead to root rot. The best solution is to water every other day and spray the plant with a fine mist of water twice a week.

It is also worth paying attention to the water quality. Poinsettias do not like hard water, which increases soil pH and limits the absorption of some micronutrients. Rainwater or filtered water will be the best choice.

Proper conditions and regular care will allow you to enjoy the beauty of the poinsettia for a long time.
