A new version

The Office will soon make its comeback. Indeed, the Peacock platform ordered a brand new version of The Office. But it won't be a simple reboot. This new version will change setting and characters, this time following the editorial staff of a small local newspaper in the American Midwest. Rican. Filming of this new series, the name of which we do not yet officially know, will begin next July. Side casting, the show will notably bring together Domhnall Gleeson (It's about time) and Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus< /em>). Greg Daniels, who has already worked on the series with Steve Carell who will direct this new version.

Unfortunately, Steve Carell fans will be disappointed. Indeed, the interpreter of Michael Scott will not be back in this reboot of The Office. While the cult character said goodbye to viewers during season 7 (despite a return in the series finale), he will not return in this new project. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the 61-year-old actor declared: que:

I'll watch, but I'm not going to come back. It's a new adventure, and I have no reason to be there, nor my character for that matter.

A logical statement therefore, since John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson and Jenna Fischerare not confirmed to return either. The series does not yet have a release date.
