Itok = 0a_g9ez "/> Piermont/AFP < P > The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) revised slightly downwards on Monday its forecast of global growth for 2025, drawn down by lower growth projections in the United States and in the euro zone. & Amp; nbsp;

< p > trade tensions at work since Donald Trump, the geopolitical and political uncertainties that cross many countries penalize growth prospects, indicates the OECD to explain this revision down. & Amp; nbsp;

< P >The organization thus expects a growth of 3.1% of world GDP in 2025, against 3.3% in its previous projections in December. & Amp; nbsp;

< P > The United States, whose president agitates the threat of a trade war with its main partners, should see their gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 2.2% 1.6% next year, according to the OECD. The international institution thus lowers its growth prospects in 2025 and 2026 for American economic activity respectively.The virulence of trade policies decided or envisaged by the United States particularly affects its neighbors, Canada and Mexico, whose forecasts plunge: compared to December, they are divided by almost three in Canada, with 0.7% of growth expected in 2025, and fell 2.5 points in Mexico, which will enter into recession this year according to OECD. & nbsp;

< P > The growth of the United States, Mexico and Canada “should slow down according to projections as the recovery of customs duties will come into force”, indicates the organization. & nbsp;

< P > in its Forecasts, the OECD specifies having only taken into account, in addition to customs duties between the United States, Canada and Mexico, the new customs rights in force between the United States and China, and those on steel and aluminum. & nbsp;

< P > Neither threats of reciprocal customs rights European issued by Donald Trump were not taken into account. & nbsp;

< P >Despite this, the OECD revised downwards and for the second consecutive time its growth forecasts in 2025 for Germany and France, the first and second economy of the euro zone. & Amp; nbsp;

< p > The OECD is now expecting 0.4% of GDP this year in Germany, against 0.7% in its forecasts previous. France is less severely affected, with an expected growth at 0.8% this year, down 0.1 point compared to the projection of December. & Amp; nbsp;

< p > other major partner of the United States, Japan also sees its growth forecast 2025 lowered, at 1.1% (-0.4 point). For its part, Chinese growth should reach 4.8% in 2025, almost stable compared to December forecasts (+0.1). & Amp; nbsp;
