< IMG SRC = "/Uploads/Blogs/7c/29/IB-FRGA7DN37_2A6BBB1CB.jpg" Alt = "The next generation of iPad mini can get an OLED screen"/> ~ ~ ~ ~ < p > Apple prepares a serious display update for the next generation of iPad mini & mdash; The device can go from IPS LCD to the OLED panel.

< P > According to sources, at which time the company tests OLED screens made by Samsung, for a compact model in the iPad line. This would become a long -awaited improvement because OLED offers deeper black color, improved contrast and energy efficiency.

< P > It is expected that the novelty is debut in 2026 & mdash; About two years after the previous model, presented in October 2024. It should be reminded that in 2023 it was assumed that the version of 2024 would receive an OLED display, but this did not happen, and the introduction of new technology was postponed to the next iteration.

~ ~ > < P > Interestingly, Apple has decided to invest in the development of the smallest model. This is likely to talk about a good iPad mini sales. Also in 2026 is expected to switch to OLED and for the iPad Air line. Thus, next year, all the iPad models, except the base, can switch to OLED screens. The initial iPad is probably left with LCD to keep the affordable price.

< P > The screen specifics are most likely Apple uses LTPS OLED (low -temperature polycrystalline silicon), rather than expensive LTPO or Tandem OLED. It will be a single-layer OLED panel with good brightness, but not a record. It is also unlikely that there will be a high -speed upgrade & mdash; Functions such as Promotion 120 Hz will continue to remain exclusive for Pro models.
