The National Bank of Ukraine issued a commemorative coin dedicated to the Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyka, who after defeating Tyson Fury became the absolute heavyweight champion of the world.

Coin is called “Absolute” and symbolizes Usyk's conquest of four belts. This is reported on the official website of the National Bank.

Oleksandr Usyk's resounding victory takes pride of place at the Olympia of Ukrainian sports. Thanks to his invincible strength of spirit and indomitable faith, the whole world knows that even in the most difficult times, Ukrainians are capable of great achievements, said the Chairman of the National Bank, presenting the commemorative coin. – The name of the coin – “Absolute” – absorbed the achievements of Oleksandr Usyk, our athletes, and all Ukrainians who strive for Victory, and most of all – defenders. It is precisely such events and emotions that should be preserved and passed on.

The obverse of the coin depicts a traditional Crimean Tatar ornament on a mirror background, symbolizing Oleksandr Usyk's Crimean roots. This pattern, used in the design of one of the images of the athlete at the battle of views before the match for the title of absolute world champion, emphasizes the inseparable connection of Crimea with Ukraine.

I am grateful for such a high honor, but I want to emphasize that this coin symbolizes all athletes who choose medals for our country, as well as all those who defend Ukraine with weapons in their hands. Our victories are also a reminder to the world that Ukrainians are fighting for their lives, for their relatives, Usyk said.
