On Friday, June 7, the Franco-German arms concern KNDS announced the creation of a subsidiary in Ukraine. The company will produce military equipment and ammunition on Ukrainian territory.

This is reported by Le Figaro.

KNDS is one of the main European players in field of ground weapons. The group produces artillery systems, battle tanks, as well as CAESAR guns, which France supplies to Kyiv.

This subsidiary will produce military equipment and ammunition on Ukrainian territory, the defense ministers announced at the end of March Sebastian Lecornu and Boris Pistorius of France and Germany.

On June 7, KNDS and the Ukrainian company ENMEK signed two declarations of intent, one of which referred to the creation of a maintenance center for Caesar self-propelled guns. The second was about 3D printing of spare parts.

Also, a contract was formalized to transfer to Ukraine the licensed production of 155 mm projectiles.

Recall that at the end of March, the defense ministers of France and Germany, Sebastien Lecorne and Boris Pistorius announced that the plant will produce military equipment and ammunition on Ukrainian soil.
