A new Ukrainian record was set this weekend in Kyiv on the Dnieper. Radio Maximum tells the details of the event.

Over the weekend, the largest flag of Ukraine was unfurled over the Dnipro River in Kyiv. The length of the flag was 207 meters – a new record set by representatives of the National Register of Records. This was reported in the Kyiv City Council.

The record was set during the sports-psychological and rehabilitation event “Hero, we need you not only on the battlefield”, which was dedicated to supporting Russian-Ukrainian veterans and participants of the Revolution of Dignity.

This is not just a manifestation of patriotism, but also a symbol of the strength of spirit and indomitability of the people. Such initiatives contribute to national unity and support of national pride. This new record will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the significant moments for the city, – emphasized Myroslava Smirnova, director of the Department of Public Communications of the KMDA.

The event was held to support veterans and their families, participants in the Revolution of Dignity and the Russian-Ukrainian war. In addition to the record, on this day sports competitions and training were held for the military and their families.
