The Czech Republic said that the number of cyberattacks last year again reached a record high.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Radio Prague International.
The Czech National Directorate for Cyber and Information Security (NÚKIB) registered 268 such incidents. This is six more than a year ago.
It is noted that thus, the number of such attacks is increasing every year.
«The most common type of attack – is DDoS attacks. Behind most of such attacks are Russian-speaking groups hacker groups, whose DDoS campaigns became most noticeable after Russia's invasion of Ukraine», – said NÚKIB Director Lukasz Kintr.
In a DDoS attack, computers controlled by hackers overload the attacked site with a large number of requests, knocking it out of service.
This method is one of the most frequently used in cyberwar, which is running parallel to the war in Ukraine.
