Russia wants to use North Korean troops to cover its state border, which is what conscripts are currently doing.

This was reported by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council, Andrey Kovalenko, in his personal blog on Telegram.

The chairman of the CPD Kovalenko did not provide any details or arguments in favor of this thesis.

BAGNET recalls that earlier South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong Hyun said that the DPRK would likely send some of its regular troops to Ukraine in support of Russia. In his opinion, North Korea is thus seeking to strengthen ties with the Kremlin.

Later, the American publication Washington Post reported that DPRK soldiers are already undergoing training in Russia in order to then go to war against Ukraine. Citing sources in Ukrainian intelligence, we are talking about several thousand North Korean infantrymen.
