The court sentenced the correspondent of the occupation media outlet of the Kherson region “Tavria”

The Kherson City Court found in absentia, a resident of the Kherson region, Olga Teterya, guilty of collaborationism. For her work in the occupation media outlet, she was sentenced to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Teteri was also banned from holding positions in state and local self-government bodies for 15 years.

The court established that from September 2022, while staying in Kherson, the woman began to cooperate with the occupation authorities. She began to study at an illegally established Russian media school in the city. After that, she worked in the occupation mass media of the Kherson Region “Tavria”. In this way, information supported the illegal government.

The evidence of Olga Teteri's guilt are publications in the telegram channel of the occupation mass media of the Kherson region. In particular, as a female correspondent, she covered the illegal referendum on “joining” Kherson Oblast to the Russian Federation. Also demonstrated an exhibition dedicated to the Kaliningrad region.

The text says that on April 25, 2023 she was handed a “certificate” Union of Russian journalists in occupied Henichesk. 

One of the witnesses, who lives in Bohdanivka and is personally acquainted with Teterea, said that she maintained friendly relations with the Russian military. Throughout the summer of 2022, she repeatedly rode a bicycle to the positions of the occupying forces. In the fall, she went to Kherson to study. Later, he learned that the woman became a correspondent in the occupation mass media of the Kherson Region «Tavria». 

Olga Teterya was born in the village of Pervomaiske, Mykolaiv Region, registered in the village of Bohdanivka, Kherson District.
