The chief editor of the occupation media holding “TRK “Crimea” was suspected of collaborationism

The editor-in-chief of the occupation media holding «TRK «Crimea» was suspected of collaborationism and justification of the temporary occupation of the territory of Ukraine.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol reported this on Facebook.

“Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office of the autonomy, the editor-in-chief of the occupying media holding ANT «Teleradiokompaniya «Crimea», who publicly supports the aggressor state, was informed of the suspicion. Her actions are qualified as collaborative activity  (part. 6 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and justification of the temporary occupation of part of the territory of Ukraine, committed with the use of media (Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

It is noted that the suspect faces up to 12 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to engage in certain activities for up to 15 years and confiscation of property.

It was established that in October 2019, the suspect took the position of editor-in-chief of the TRK «Crimea», subordinate to the occupying Ministry of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of the Republic of Crimea, which includes 16 pro-Russian media.

In order to influence the inhabitants of the peninsula, the «mediynitsa» uses his account in social networks, where he distributes materials aimed at supporting the enemy and justifies the temporary occupation of part of the territory of Ukraine.

In addition, in 2022, the suspect took part in a propaganda broadcast on TRC «Crimea», dedicated to the start of broadcasting of Russian media in the territory of the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, where she spoke in support of the aggressor state and of its occupation administration, the prosecutor's office added.
