The Boys: Season 5 should introduce this cult superhero

While season 5 of The Boys is currently in pre-production, a casting call for a new character has just been launched. And we already know the identity of this new superhero.

The Boys: Season 5

After a season 4 that ended with a bang, the series The Boys will soon conclude with a fifth and final season. Finally, fans of the Prime Video serieswill discover how Butcher's story against Homelander will unfold. A season 5 that viewers are eagerly awaiting and which has just entered pre-production.

As a reminder, The Boys quickly became a cult series. Developed by Eric Kripke in 2019, it is a respectful and muscular adaptation of the source material: the famous comics by Garth Ennis, released from 2006. Led by Karl Urban, Jack Quaid and Antony Starr, The Boys quickly won the hearts of fans.

A new superhero

According to the media Nexus Point News, season 5 of The Boys should logically feature a brand new superhero. This new Supe will be introduced in this season 5 before becoming a central protagonist of the spin-off Vought Rising. Recently announced, Vought Rising will be a series developed by Paul Grellong and which will focus on the origins of Vought in the 1950s. We will thus be able to find characters like Soldier Boy or Stormfront, who were already officiating at that time.

Still according to Nexus Point News, this new super who will make his debut in season 5 of The Boys would be Flyboy. A new character, Flyboy is a secondary character in Garth Ennis' comics. Flyboy is a pathetic superhero, in search of recognition and admiration. Representative of these second-rate superheroes abandoned by Vought, Flyboy nevertheless has the ability to fly, hence his name.

The production of The Boys has just launched a casting call for the character of Flyboy. The latter is described as:

“A white male in his twenties or thirties, a charismatic former combat pilot turned drug addict, and haunted by a dark past. Although he is traumatized by his past, he maintains a false confidence in front of the cameras.”

For the moment, we don't know much more about this mysterious character. But if he is indeed present in the spin-off Vought Rising, it means that Flyboy has a certain seniority in the universe of superheroes.
