The Bethlehem Star will delight with flowers. Just water it with a special mixture

Thanks to this mixture, the Poinsettia will delight with flowers.

As the “Deccoria” portal reminds us, Poinsettia is one of those plants that we inextricably associate with Christmas. To delight with its flowers, all you need to do is water it every other day with a special mixture.

Poinsettia — how to care for it?

Although many people believe that the flowers of Poinsettia are the red leaves located at the top of the plant, the truth is completely different. The red, white or pink leaves are bracts. The flowers of the Poinsettia are quite small and inconspicuous. We are talking about yellow little balls that appear primarily at the top of the plant.

In order for the Poinsettia to delight during the holiday season, we should provide it with the right conditions. One of the key things is to water it properly. It should be watered regularly, while remembering to avoid excess water. “Deccoria” recommends watering the plant when the top layer of soil is dry.

It is also worth remembering that the Poinsettia likes humid air, so it is worth making sure that there is a humidifier near it. It is also important to remember to properly feed the Star of Bethlehem.

Homemade fertilizer will help nourish Poinsettias

As “Deccoria” points out, fertilizing Poinsettias should not be started immediately after purchasing the plant. It is better to wait a week or two. To prevent the plant from losing its leaves and to grow beautifully, it is worth trying a homemade mixture of yeast and milk.

To prepare the nutrient for the Bethlehem Star, we need a packet of dry yeast. Dissolve it in a glass of warm, but not hot, water. Set aside for a few minutes.

Pour the water into a 1-liter bottle. Then add 300 ml of milk, close the bottle and mix everything well. The nutrient should be used once every two weeks. The effect will amaze?
