Tesla has temporarily halted deliveries of the Cybertruck due to unexpected delays in getting the cars ready for delivery to owners. One customer was told the cause of the pause was a recall due to problems with the accelerator.
In the letter, Tesla apologized to customers for the inconvenience and promised to contact them again when they can schedule a new delivery date for the Cybertruck. Owners have identified a potential problem with the accelerator caused by excessive lubrication, which could lead to a dangerous situation.
Supply is expected to resume on April 20th, however this may cause delays in future deliveries. This is not the first case of complaints from Cybertruck buyers, including visibility issues, off-road difficulties, potential passenger hazards due to the lack of crumple zones, as well as issues with the CCS adapter, reduced range, discoloration of stainless steel body panels, and more.
