Technical specifications of the revolutionary Israeli electronic warfare system C-GEM revealed

Israeli defense company Rafael Advanced Defense Systems has successfully tested EW Decoy decoy missiles for EW systems compatible with SRBOC and 130 mm launchers. The achievement provides flexibility in the use of modern electronic warfare equipment on existing combat platforms, writes Naval News.

Among the tested systems are the C-GEM active radar and the WIZARD fast-action angular reflector. So, the C-GEM designed to counter modern anti-ship missiles using advanced AESA (Active Phased Array) and Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM) technology. WIZARD™, in turn, is a missile with inflatable reflectors that create false targets for radars.

The latest systems are part of the IDS integrated defense complex, which complements other advanced Rafael developments, including the naval version of the Iron Dome (C-Dome) system and the Digital Shark electronic countermeasures. It is noteworthy that the Digital Shark was recently purchased by the navy of one of the NATO countries.

The tests have shown the possibility of adapting existing electronic warfare assets to new platforms without the need for significant modifications. This confirms the flexibility and effectiveness of Rafael systems, which are already installed on the Israeli Navy's Saar 6-class corvettes.
