Taylor Swift's new album “The Tortured Poets Department” is predicted to have a historic first week on the charts.

According to HITS Daily Double, Swift's new album will sell more than 2 million units in its first week, marking the biggest debut of her career. The album is also expected to bring in 800 million streams in its first week, a record held by Drake's Scorpion for nearly six years, according to Complex.

Swift's album also set a world record on Spotify, amassing 314 million streams on its release day.This is her seventh album to debut with over 1 million units sold, and her third to reach the 1.5 million mark.

History is made! On April 19, 2024, Taylor Swift's album “The Tortured Poets Department” became the first album in Spotify history to receive more than 300 million streams in a single day,
according to Spotify.

Swift officially released the album on April 19 , but surprised fans with an anthology edition of the project, which she called a “secret double album” on Instagram. The full tracklist includes 31 songs.

In “So High School,” Swift alludes to her relationship with Travis Kelce and one of the lyrics has fans scratching their heads. In it, Swift sings:

You know how to play ball, I know Aristotle,
New, full throttle,
Touch me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto.

“So High School” is the second song from The Tortured Poets Department to feature Kelsey, following the love song “The Alchemy” . The couple's romantic relationship first became known in mid-September 2023, and Travis' brother Jason confirmed their union just days later. After that, Swift could be seen at NFL games, including Super Bowl LVIII.
