Switch 2: Nintendo's future console reveals information on its design

Gamers are waiting to find out when Nintendo will officially announce its future console. In the meantime, it's a topic that's been talked about a lot and there are countless rumors circulating about it. The latest one comes from an accessory maker who has just revealed information about the design of the device that we're currently calling the Switch 2.

New information on the Nintendo Switch 2

When? This is the question everyone is asking to know when will Big N finally decide to officially unveil and announce its future consolecommonly called, and for want of knowing its real name, the Switch 2. If we are to believe the latest news, Nintendo should organize the announcement during the month of October. In the meantime, we can count on Ruben Mercado, CEO of Blade, a company specializing in accessories. The latter granted an interview to the Spanish magazine Vandal in which he shared a lot of information about the next Nintendo console.

A finalized Switch 2 and a lot of new features

Mercado claims that he was able to access a final version of the Switch 2. Nintendo would have finished the design of its consoleand if the information that the development of the device has indeed reached its final stage and that accessory manufacturers have received prototypes, this means that the Japanese firm would therefore be about to unveil it to the public.

Still, the CEO of Blade is not stingy with details on the Switch 2. He confirms what was rumored about the new Joy-Con which would be magnetic. A system that would allow the controllers to be removed more easily from the console. Nintendo would have heard the criticisms that are legion about the stability of those we know. Add to that the fact that the analog joysticks should benefit from a new design. We would not be able to protect them with the usual shells. Mercado says that we will discover the why and how during the official presentation.

According to the CEO, to get the Switch 2, you would have to pay a lot more than its big sister. He announced that the next Nintendo console would be marketed between $440 and $550. As a reminder, the first was listed at $299. The firm would justify this increase due to an improvement in performance and features. 

Finally, Ruben Mercado even goes so far as to announce a launch window for the Switch 2 that would be set worldwide in March-April 2025. Of course, this information should be taken with a grain of salt. But if these revelations are confirmed, Nintendo seems to want to make a big splash with its next console.
