Student created the world's smallest slot machine: what does it look like (photo)

It takes 3 months for the record to be officially confirmed.

A college student in Ontario, Canada, has built what is believed to be the world's smallest slot machine.

This is reported by CBC News.

Victoria Korgonen, a student in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering at Fanshawe College, presented her creation: a machine that is just 6 cm high, 2.5 cm wide and 3 cm long.

The arcade machine plays the classic game of Pong.

The machine was officially measured by Fanshawe College building professor Matt Carson in hopes of setting a Guinness World Record for the smallest arcade machine.

“I decided to look at smaller records that I could break, and I found this arcade machine, and I completely fell in love with its design,” Victoria said in an interview. “The size – it's definitely something I like, having the smallest thing.”

The girl was previously part of a school team that broke the Guinness World Record for the longest selfie stick. The evidence from the official measurement must now be reviewed by the record-keeping organization to determine whether Victoria is entitled to a second title to her name.

“I wanted to have a certificate in my name that I could frame, so that was my goal,” she said.

The current record belongs to North Carolina resident Jonathan Charles, whose Space Invaders game was measured in 2018 at 6.6 cm high, 3.3 cm long and 2.9 cm wide.
