South Korea to launch second intelligence satellite from US spaceport

South Korea's Ministry of Defense announced the planned launch of its second military intelligence satellite on Sunday.

This is reported by NHK.

A commercial rocket with a satellite is to be launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The satellite, equipped with a high-performance radar, is the second of five designed to improve monitoring of North Korea's missile launches and other activities.

The first such device was launched in December last year. South Korea plans to launch the rest by next year.
