The smartphone market with built-in artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly gaining momentum. In the first quarter of 2024, the share of such smartphones relatively increased to 6%, compared to the previous 1.3%. The leader of this market became the Samsung Galaxy S24, in particular its top model S24 Ultra, which occupied more than 30% of the market, surpassing the total share of the next two smartphones.
This is reported by Counterpoint Research. According to Counterpoint's latest Global Handset Model Sales Tracker, the number of GenAI-enabled smartphone models has doubled from 16 to more than 30 in the first quarter, indicating increased brand interest in this segment.
