The first big change brings lots of new Gemini extensions for various Android apps. This is an option to ask Gemini to call contacts, as well as draft and send messages.
The latest feature from Google includes several new AI features. Google says the changes will bring more intelligence, usefulness, and intuitiveness to Android users, with a particular focus on the company's Pixel line of phones. Tom's Guide reports.
The first big change brings a bunch of new Gemini extensions to various Android apps. For example, you can ask Gemini to call your contacts, as well as create drafts and send messages.
Gemini can also control your device's settings and camera, if needed. The idea here is to help make Gemini an even better assistant while minimizing how often the device owner has to switch between apps.
Google is also introducing “expressive captions” for Android phones, where AI will automatically pick up on the emotions in any video. These captions will be built directly into the Android operating system and can be used in live broadcasts and social content.
Finally, Image Q&A in Lookout will now use Gemini to provide more accurate descriptions of images, making it a much better service overall.
Google Pixel owners will also get a few additional features for their phones in addition to these updates. The new Saved Info feature lets Gemini remember your interests and preferences so that responses are more relevant and reflect what you care about. It's Google's attempt to personalize the Gemini experience on Pixel phones.
