Single mother received a priest after Christmas caroling. This is how the priest treated her and her child

Single mother received a priest after Christmas caroling. It's unbelievable how she and her child were treated by the priest.

As the “Goniec” portal reminds us, pastoral visits called “carols” are ongoing. Clergy visit their faithful to say a prayer with them and support them with a kind word. Unfortunately, parishioners cannot always count on the latter. A single mother who welcomed a priest into her home found this out the hard way.

She will never forget this visit

A reader of the “Gazeta” portal decided to share her unpleasant experience regarding the carol. As she admitted in her letter to the editor, she is a believer, although she does not go to church very regularly.

“Nevertheless, next year I will not receive a priest after Christmas caroling. My doors are closed to representatives of the clergy. This is the last straw,” the woman admitted, adding that her decision was influenced by unpleasant experiences from the past.

The woman learned about the carol too late, which is why she didn't have time to stock up on holy water. As she admitted, the priest made a very bad impression on her from the very beginning. As she stated, he gave the impression of a person who was most interested in collecting donations from parishioners, not getting to know them better.

This is how he treated her priest

But that wasn't the worst. “He looked up my name and surname in a thick notebook and asked directly where my child's father was. When he found out that I was raising my daughter alone, he first stated that “there has to be a father somewhere,” and then he started lecturing me in front of the child,” the woman reported in her letter.

The woman heard from the priest that she was not living according to the teachings of Jesus. The woman admits that these words were the last straw. She shouted to the priest's face that he was a good man, and that the priest himself did not follow the teachings of Christ, because he judged others and lacked empathy.

The enraged priest began to reproach the woman for not having a cross in her house, and when he saw the women's strike sign on the mirror, he said that she had probably had an abortion. The woman, seeing no other way out, asked the priest to leave her apartment.
