Football club “Shakhtar” became the champion of Ukraine in the 2023/24 season. This happened after the victory over “Dynamo” in a football match on May 11.

It was actually a “Ukrainian classic”, which ended in favor of “miners”. More details about the match were reported in Suspilny. Sports.

Never lost

The teams “Shakhtar” and “Dynamo” have shown incredible resilience this season, without suffering a single defeat. The Miners entered the match with a 14-match winning streak in the UPL, while Dynamo had a 17-match unbeaten run in the Ukrainian championship.

The meeting between Shakhtar and Dynamo was the second of the 2023 season/24. In the first confrontation in November, “miners” won 1:0 under the leadership of Marino Pushych. This match was the last for Mircea Lucescu as head coach of “Dynamo”, and after him Oleksandr Shovkovskii led the team.

Post shared by FC Shakhtar (@fcshakhtar)” In this match, Shakhtar opened the scoring by receiving a penalty after a VAR review for a handball by a Dynamo player. The goal was scored by Georgy Sudakov. In the first half, Shakhtar had a slight advantage in terms of shots on goal and ball possession.

In the second half, “Dynamo” tried to restore balance, but “Shakhtar” remained stable and won with a minimum score of 1:0.
