They will also provide Kyiv with information on North Korea's military tactics, doctrine and operations.
South Korea's Defense Ministry said at a press briefing later Monday that it would consider measures with an “open attitude” regarding the possible supply of lethal weapons to Ukraine. Seoul previously provided humanitarian aid to Kyiv during the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Such comments from South Korea came after the country's intelligence agency said on Friday that North Korea had decided to send 12,000 troops, including special forces, to support Russia, 1,500 of whom are already in the Russian Far East.
