The Polish company Clone Robotics has introduced its first full-scale humanoid called Clone Alpha. This robot is equipped with synthetic organs and artificial muscles that reproduce the functions of the human skeletal, muscular, vascular and nervous systems.
Clone Robotics specializes in creating biomimetic robots that mimic the strength and dexterity of the human body. The company, founded in 2021, has already developed a robotic arm that is capable of performing precise and complex movements. This year, a new development was presented — humanoid torso with realistic movements.
The robot uses patented Myofiber artificial muscle technology, which provides fast response (less than 50 ms), significant contraction force and efficient operation. The humanoid skeleton includes all 206 bones of the human body with movable joints, artificial ligaments and tendons.
The robot control system is equipped with 4 depth cameras, 70 inertial sensors for feedback in the joints and 320 pressure sensors for muscle control. The movements are coordinated thanks to the NVIDIA Jetson Thor GPU, which works with its own Cybernet model.
Although the company has not yet demonstrated a fully functional Clone Alpha robot, individual components have already confirmed the effectiveness of the biomimetic approach. Successful scaling of this technology will be a key step in the creation of a new generation of humanoids.
