Scholz commented on Musk's Nazi salute-like gesture

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, commenting on the Nazi salute-like gesture of American billionaire Elon Musk, confirmed the rejection of “extreme right-wing views”.

He said this during a discussion at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday, January 21, “European Truth” reports.

Scholz noted that he had commented on Musk's statements more than once, “because he talked a lot about Europe”.

“I will simply repeat what I said: we have freedom of speech in Europe, and everyone can say what they want – even if he is a billionaire. And what we do not accept is the support of extreme right-wing views”, – added the Chancellor of Germany.

Let us remind you that at the Trump inauguration event on Monday, Elon Musk raised his hand in a gesture that was compared to a Nazi salute on the Internet.

Musk himself responded to the critical comments, noting that he is very tired of attacks in the style of “everyone is Hitler”.

Some users on X came to Musk's defense, claiming that he expressed “my heart goes out to you” and criticized posts that claimed otherwise.

Ilon Musk publicly supported the far-right Alternative for Germany, an anti-immigration and anti-Islam party, in the upcoming national elections in this country.
