Samsung smartphones that will be updated for 7 years – until 2032 – have been named

In the smartphone market, Apple has long been considered the leader in the duration of support for its iPhones. Everything changed last year with the release of the Galaxy S24 series, which is guaranteed 7 years of full software support.

Since then, 7-year support has been extended to all Samsung flagship devices. SamMobile has compiled a complete list of devices that will receive updates for the longest possible time.

The list includes devices that have already been introduced or officially announced. Among them:

  • Galaxy S24;
  • Galaxy S24+;
  • Galaxy S24 Ultra;
  • Galaxy S25;
  • Galaxy S25+;
  • Galaxy S25 Ultra;
  • Galaxy S25 Edge;
  • Galaxy S24 FE;
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6;
  • Galaxy Z Flip 6.

In addition, seven-year support is guaranteed for two current Samsung tablets – the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.

Although the list of devices with seven-year support is still small, it will expand as new flagships are released. For example, in the summer, Samsung will introduce new clamshells Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. In addition Moreover, some mid-range Samsung smartphones have been updated for 6 years.

Long-term support not only means new features, including AI-based ones, appear in smartphones, but also guarantees stability operation and safety of devices. Most competitors in the Android world offer an average of 4 years of guaranteed software support.

On January 22, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S25 flagships. They are similar to last year's, but have thinner bezels and rounded edges . One of the main innovations was the expanded menu of information about the battery status, available in the device settings.

Samsung also showed the super-thin Galaxy S25 Edge, but the release date and price of the smartphone are not specified. According to rumors, it will go on sale in May, and will cost less than the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
