Samsung Galaxy S23 series smartphones have received an important update that fixes 51 software vulnerabilities.
It is noted that 29 vulnerabilities have been fixed in the security of the Android operating system, of which 5 are considered critical, and 22 – in the Samsung One UI interface.
Many of these vulnerabilities allowed attackers to read or execute code on devices running Android 12, 13, and 14 without the user's permission. One of the vulnerabilities allowed them to change notification settings.
The January security patch has become available for the Galaxy S23 line in Europe, India, and several other countries. The system build number is – S91*BXXS7CXL2. Users of these devices are recommended to update the software to eliminate security risks.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 series smartphones were released in early 2023. The devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chip. On January 22, Samsung will introduce the flagship Galaxy S25 line, the Galaxy Ring 2, and a mixed reality headset.
