In the new flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung decided to remove Bluetooth support for the S Pen, which deprived the stylus of the function of «air» gestures. Now users will not be able to control the smartphone with stylus waves.
According to Samsung representatives, the reason for this decision was the extremely low use of gestures – less than 1% of Galaxy Ultra owners resorted to this function. The main use of the S Pen was to launch the camera remotely. At the same time, you can still draw and write with the stylus.
Bluetooth integration in the S Pen first appeared in the Galaxy S22 Ultra, but its rejection in the Galaxy S25 Ultra made it possible to make the accessory «lighter and more reliable».
