Sabotage attempts in Europe are part of a system of coordinated actions. The Russian Federation is involved in this, – Kallas

Attempted sabotage in Europe that have been taking place in recent months are not isolated cases, but part of a system of coordinated actions to destabilize the EU infrastructure. The Russian Federation is involved in these incidents.

As Censor.NET reports with reference to DW, this was stated in an interview with Welt by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaia Kallas.

She noted that the number of sabotages in Europe has recently increased. This happened after Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the top European diplomat noted. As an example, Kallas cited the damage to the Estlink 2 submarine cable in the Baltic Sea, in which Finnish investigators suspect the Eagle S tanker from the so-called Russian “shadow fleet” was involved.

Against this backdrop, Kallas announced the introduction of stricter measures against Russian ships. She noted that the vessels of the Russian “shadow fleet”, which sail in violation of regulations, are also responsible for environmental pollution.
