Red One: Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans must save Santa Claus

While we have just left summer, the holidays and back to school, it is already time to look forward to Christmas which will arrive at high speed! And like every year, streaming platforms as well as studios do not forget to produce content especially for this time of year. So, for Christmas 2024, there won't be only animated films or romantic comedies. No, this year, Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans will team up in an action comedy called Red One in order to save Christmas.

Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson Team Up to Find Santa Claus

Even though September isn't over yet, studios and platforms are already looking ahead to the holiday season. And for the occasion, Jake Kasdan has decided to feature a Santa Claus who loves pumping up and gets kidnapped by bad guys. In this action comedy called Red One, Dwayne Johnson reunites with the director with whom he had already collaborated for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and its sequel, Next Level. In this film, he plays Callum Drift, the commander of the E.L.F. Task Force who, in order to save Christmas, will team up with Jack O'Malley, the most infamous bounty hunter in the world, played by Chris Evans.

The duo is the only one who can save Santa Claus played by J.K. Simmons and to make sure that all the children on the planet will be able to discover presents under the tree on the morning of December 25th.

Red One reveals itself in a new muscular trailer

In this film, the screenplay of which is signed by Chris Morgan, who wrote Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw, The Rock and the interpreter of Captain America will give the answer to Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka (The New Adventures of Sabrina), Bonnie Hunt, Nick Roll (Big Mouth) and Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones).

For now, Red One is scheduled to be released in American movie theaters on November 15. However, no release date has been announced for France. With the media timeline, there is a good chance that the film will be released here directly on Prime Video exclusively.
