Real-life. “My Husband Left Me Pregnant and Disappeared”: He Came Back Only 10 Years Later and Said Many Hurtful Words

My ex-husband somehow ran away with the money. That same day I realized that it was not an emergency, but a planned action.

Worried, I started calling him. The phone didn't answer. Then I checked his things. Everything was there, except his documents and money. I realized that he had run away, leaving me, a pregnant woman, alone. In a rented apartment that hadn't been paid for yet.

I didn't have time to be sad. I started taking action. First of all, I took out a loan and paid for the apartment. I found a job at the market. At home, I knitted and sold my products on social media. After the baby was born, I didn't stay at home. I took my daughter with me to work at the supermarket.

I didn't get enough sleep, I could barely make ends meet, but what else could I do? Two years later I started looking for another job. I found a job as a saleswoman in a supermarket. They paid much better there. Things were going better. I managed to pay off the loan. I gradually climbed the career ladder: first I was promoted to senior saleswoman, and three years later I became sales floor administrator.

My earnings increased so much that I took out a foreign currency loan and bought a two-room apartment. There were no changes in my personal life. The men who approached me disappeared as soon as they found out about my daughter. My ex didn't reveal himself in any way.

Ten years have passed. One day, when I was leaving work, I saw my ex. He was waiting for me. I ignored him and walked past him. He followed me. He followed me to my apartment. He was waiting for me in front of the house. I continued to ignore him. Then he tried to contact my daughter. The girl was terrified of her father.

– Leave my daughter alone, you're scaring her. Go away and never come back – I interrupted him rudely – We don't need a worm that's afraid of responsibility.
