Real-life. “My Husband Didn't Visit My Sick Mother”: But After a Company Party, He Left with a Young Coworker

The company party was in full swing when I got a call from my 8-year-old daughter: – “Mom, grandma fell, hurry up…”

I jumped on the spot, and my husband, who works with me in the same company and was present at the same party, just mumbled: “If it's something serious, call me, go”.

There was no time for further explanation. I rushed to a taxi and called an ambulance at the same time. The paramedics arrived on time. They said my mother's blood pressure had risen. The doctor injected her with medication intravenously, and she fell asleep.

My daughter and I stayed in the hospital and returned home the next morning. During all those painful hours, my husband did not call, not even to ask how we were doing. He was in the apartment as if nothing had happened.

I was very offended and went to the other room when I heard a call from my friend from the store:

-Where is your husband?

-At home.

-Well, yes… Last night he called a taxi and went with Roksana to an unknown place.

The young employee is 10 years younger than my husband. Of course, this news almost knocked me out.

I pulled myself together, went to my husband and asked sharply where he was last night, while my daughter and I camped out in the hospital with a “dry mouth” and scared about my mother's health.

He growled sluggishly that I shouldn't disturb him, because he was supposed to tell me everything after the program he was watching on TV.

-Roksana was tired. She had drunk too much. I took her home.

-You didn't have a chance to visit my mother, but you found time to take Roksana home.

-I gave her to her parents. If you don't believe me, you can ask them for details.

I couldn't recover for a long time after that conversation. This man was making himself out to be a hero, and I saw that he was just an egoist. I don't know how to treat him now.

Is it worth maintaining a relationship with such a person?

Don't miss: Krzysztof Dymiński is still wanted. Photo from the bus has been released. Is the missing teenager alive and in hiding
