Real-life. “My Ex-Husband Suddenly Wanted to Take My Daughter”: He Quickly Suffered the Consequences

My ex-husband left me after three years of marriage.

Ola was only 4 months old at the time. I was terrified, I didn't know how I would cope with a child in my arms.

I dared to ask him:

-What about our child? How will I cope with her now?

-What does that have to do with me? She's not my daughter, you gave birth to her. So raise her however you want or call your lover, maybe he'll help.

Eleven years have passed since then. My Ola has grown up. Sleepless nights and tears in the pillow due to lack of money are behind me. I got back on my feet and found a decent job. I even found a husband and a good father for my daughter.

Prosperity and happiness have settled in my home, but life is not without its problems. Suddenly, my ex appeared on the horizon. He simply called and said: “I want to see my daughter, period.”

My husband and I consulted and decided that she had the right to do so. And so it happened. The first meetings took place under my supervision. And that's what blood calls mean, she was immediately drawn to him. And when he wanted to take her to his place for a day, I didn't oppose it. When Ola came home, I didn't recognize her.

A well-mannered, nice girl started being rude to me. She and her husband used to be friends, but now she would respond to every word he said with “You're not my father.” To put it bluntly, I felt terrible about this behavior.

A few days later, when Ola had calmed down a bit, I was able to find out from her what had happened. My daughter told me what had happened. I was in shock for a long time after hearing this.

It turned out that my ex and his current wife had no children. They didn't even hesitate to tell Ola that they were taking her to their place. They said nasty things about me and my husband, said that when I had a new baby, my stepfather would give her to an orphanage. I was just furious and immediately called my ex and told him straight away that he would never see my daughter again.

He hasn't been in our lives for many years and he doesn't have to be now. I won't let him traumatize a child's psyche. And if he and his wife need a daughter, let them go to an orphanage. I didn't listen to his fiery speeches, but hung up immediately.

Now there is complete peace in our family. I decided that until Ola grows up, we will not communicate with her father. When she becomes an adult, she will be able to decide for herself whether she wants to communicate with him or not.
