Real-life. “Maybe you should cut your hair short and stop wearing makeup”: My husband once suggested

– I want you to be natural – said Tymon, looking at me with loving eyes.

On the one hand, I was flattered that my future husband saw me as beautiful even without makeup. And yet I felt sad. I liked wearing makeup and looking radiant and effective, although I didn't have any “excesses” in makeup. However, I loved Tymek very much and wanted to please him in everything.

He, by the way, also tried to listen to my wishes. For example, he stopped wearing long hair and agreed to a stylish short haircut. The next time he expressed his indignation at me, he was already my husband. He did not like that I wear bold dresses.

Although these are absolutely ordinary mid-length dresses without a neckline, he did not agree to them. I simply have a good figure, so the most ordinary outfit looks spectacular on me. With a sigh, I switched to the oversized one that my husband had strongly advised me to wear.

You would think that my appearance was beyond reproach, but next in line was my hair. My naturally gorgeous brown hair is my pride and joy.

“Maybe you should get a short haircut?” my husband once suggested, watching me closely as I did my homework with the child. “It's not natural for a married woman to attract other men with long hair,” he said sternly and turned to the window. In this way he gave me to understand that he was upset with my bad behavior.

For a while I kept my hair long because it was too sad to part with such wealth. Tymek's absolutely natural, yet eternally gloomy face did the trick. I went to the hairdresser and cut my hair. Only my husband's joy lasted exactly two days. I bought myself a wonderful hair dryer, thanks to which I learned how to do wonderful hairstyles.

-Why do you need all this? – Tymon frowned again, pointing at my head.

“Because, my dear, I have to look presentable,” I replied, finally deciding to be decisive. “I go to work where people already suggest I look unhealthy. A woman in her thirties doesn't always look fresh without makeup.”

The impression I made of my face was, to put it mildly, inexpressive. This lack of expression was only compounded by my shapeless hoodie. The complaints the man had made of me earlier were nothing compared to these new complaints. The prize was an oversized gray hoodie that had the audacity to be adorned with a “playful” white diamond. And short shoes with square heels were considered daring. I looked faded, ugly and uninteresting. Everything my husband wanted.

However, he perceived my refusal to put on a sheet and crawl to the cemetery as a desire to seduce muscular handsome men. One day he proudly announced to me that he was leaving. I probably cried for a week, and then I went for a stylish manicure. At that moment, my soul felt so light and joyful that I realized that I was alive!

My life began to improve, my hair grew back, and a smile appeared on my face more and more often. At least that's what my colleagues and friends told me. But here's an interesting thing – I once saw Tymek's mistress.

I expected to see a colorless girl in shapeless clothes. But no! Next to my ex-husband walked a dyed blonde in high heels. Her makeup was bright and catchy, and her eyelash extensions were visible even from space.
