Real Life. “He Left His Wife and Kids for Another Woman”: Abandoned Wife Got Back on Her Feet After Depression, Then Something Unexpected Happened

Terenia didn't come home from work empty-handed. She liked to go to the store and buy a small bottle of wine for dinner in the evening.

At home, she saw the following scene: her beloved Wojtek was packing

-Wojtek, did you find a job?

-No, I'm leaving.

-Where are you going? It's ten in the evening.

-You're deaf? I told you, I'm leaving, I'm leaving you, you idiot.

Terenia's legs got weak and she fell into a chair…

-I'm sick of you coming home with a bottle every night, saying it's “for appetite”. Lidka is not like that, she doesn't smell like a bottle of alcohol, she smells like something sweet and pleasant.

Terenia drank every night, sometimes forgetting to cook something for the children, who only ate at kindergarten. She abandoned her home, everything stank of smoke, mold appeared in the pots, and the children ran around dirty. Terenia's guardian came home and took the children, and she was told that she still had a chance to get everything back.

She had a job, an apartment, but she just had to get her affairs in order. She took a short vacation. For several days she lay in bed, unable to get up. On the fifth day, when she realized that her appetite had returned and she could do without a bottle, she started cleaning the apartment and went to work.

She worked hard, and after work, so as not to think about the bottle, she started cleaning the apartment. After a few months, the children returned to her, but she was constantly checked on. She held on, stopped thinking about crying, and her children came first. Even when she found out that Wojtek had proposed to a new girl, she did not break down. Although it was difficult, because she bore him children, they lived together for eight years.

A few months later, Wojtek returned with a black eye:

-Tereska, I'm sorry… it turned out that Lidka had run away from her husband. The man found her, came, beat me up, and dragged her by the hair to his car.

-Wojtek, thank you for the children, for the lesson you taught me, and now get out of here.
