Rafał Trzaskowski assessed Karol Nawrocki. It was not a nice statement

On Saturday, February 1, Wejherowo hosted Rafał Trzaskowski, the Civic Coalition candidate for president.

The meeting with residents became an opportunity to raise key issues regarding Poland's foreign policy and defense.

High investments in defense

Trzaskowski drew attention to the significant increase in investments in the defense sector, emphasizing that Poland has never allocated such large funds for this purpose. “I postulate that in 2026 we reach 5 percent of GDP, and we are already at a level well above 4.5 percent. This is exactly what today is about,” the KO candidate noted, pointing to the need to strengthen the country's security.

Observing the situation in the USA

In his speech, Trzaskowski also referred to the situation in the United States, emphasizing how important it is to monitor global events in the context of foreign policy. In addition, he did not hesitate to take a dig at his rival, Karol Nawrocki, which indicates growing rivalry ahead of the upcoming elections.

His words sparked a range of reactions, showing the variety of emotions and concerns that accompany citizens in the face of a changing reality.

Trzaskowski noted that social reactions are extremely quivering. „Both from the left and right of the Polish political scene” – he stated. In the context of the dynamic changes in the United States, he recommended common sense to everyone. In his opinion, it is crucial to calmly observe events and build relationships with the new American administration. „We have very similar interests” he added, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation.

Rafał Trzaskowski also referred to the election campaign of his opponent supported by PiS. He was critical of the approach to foreign policy based on showing physical strength: “Some people think that showing strength will be by doing a few push-ups and flexing their muscles.

The sarcastic comparison was intended to draw attention to the absurdity of such an approach in the context of serious international affairs. “The question is whether it really makes an impression on Trump– added Trzaskowski, pondering what values really matter in the eyes of world leaders.

His rhetorical question to the audience was intended to encourage reflection on what truly defines an ally.
