Pyongyang has threatened Seoul with “catastrophe” over drones carrying propaganda against the North Korean regime

The influential sister of North Korean leader Kim Yo-jong has warned Seoul of a “terrible catastrophe” if South Korean drones carrying propaganda materials against the Kim regime are fly over Pyongyang.

This is stated in her statement published by the North Korean state news agency KCNA.

"We don't care who was the perpetrator of the last drone incident. “We are simply recording this fact,” the statement said in response to the South Korean military's assertion that it was not involved in the launch of the aircraft.

Kim threatened decisive measures if the drones with anti-Pyongyang leaflets from South Korea will again appear in North Korean airspace.

"We have not set the time of our attack to destroy Seoul and its army… The moment when a drone from the Republic of Korea is detected again in the sky above our capital, it will definitely lead to a terrible disaster,'' said the sister of the leader of the DPRK.

Kim holds one of the leading positions in the ruling Workers' Party of the DPRK and regularly makes statements regarding Pyongyang's position on security and political issues. It is believed that these statements are pre-approved by the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un.

On Friday, North Korea's Foreign Ministry accused South Korea of ​​sending drones at night carrying propaganda materials against the ruling Pyongyang regime several times this week and last.
