PSN: PlayStation Network is down, all the info on PS5 and PS4

The PlayStation Network is down. A situation that is obviously reminiscent of that of April 2011, during which the PSN remained inaccessible for several weeks. Internet users are speculating and expecting the worst, while PlayStation assures that it is on the spot. Focus on this incident that affects players on PlayStation 4 as well as PlayStation 5.

PSN is down

The PlayStation Network has been down for about 7 hours. It was during the night from Monday to Tuesday that Internet users were disconnected en masse from PlayStation's online services. While PlayStation briefly announced on its support site that everything was green, the dots quickly turned red. Since then, neither PlayStation 5 nor PlayStation 4 players, not to mention PlayStation 3 and PS Vita players, can access PlayStation's online services, whether it's the store, PlayStation Video or social networks.

Of course, Sony is aware. The Japanese company informed players via its official accounts, including the Japanese X account of its support:

“PlayStation Network (including PlayStation Store) may be unavailable at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers. We are currently investigating and restoring the issue, so we appreciate your patience.”

No date for a return to normal has been given by the manufacturer. Players must therefore be patient, especially since the cause has not been communicated, or claimed. Although the consoles' online services are unavailable, it is still possible to play offline. This is the good time to discover, or rediscover, excellent single-player games. Provided you have them available on your console, of course. Good luck to all, and patience.
