In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, a man set fire to a police car on behalf of the police.
On December 12, at around 10:00 p.m., the attacker doused a Renault Duster company car with gasoline and set it on fire. The fire destroyed the front of the vehicle.
The police quickly identified the arsonist and detained him at a local gas station. The detained man was a 24-year-old man previously convicted of property crimes.
“He admitted that he acted on the orders of a representative of the Russian Federation, with whom he communicated via Telegram. For setting the car on fire, he received a money transfer from the customer to a bank card – 8,000 hryvnias”, – the prosecutor's office said.
Police investigators informed the defendant of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional destruction of property committed by arson). He faces up to 10 years in prison.
