Pro-Russian TV presenter and blogger Max Nazarov sent to custody for 60 days

Former presenter of pro-Russian TV channels, blogger Max Nazarov was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention for 60 days with the alternative of paying bail in the amount of 12 million UAH. This is reported by Suspilne.

During the meeting, the prosecutor requested that Nazarov be detained, without specifying the amount of bail.

However, lawyer Serhiy Rudenko denied this. He asked not to satisfy the prosecutor's request and insisted on a milder preventive measure, for example, in the form of a personal bond or house arrest.

The lawyers noted that during the search, Nazarov did not hinder the investigative actions, and also voluntarily provided all the things that were of interest to the investigation. It is about a mobile phone, computers and a passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad.

Max Nazarov stated during the meeting that he is not responsible for the word of his guests, whom he interviewed until 2022 on the YouTube channel .

On January 18, the SBU searched Maks Nazarov and informed him of the suspicion of justifying Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.

The SBU said that the law enforcement officers collected a large-scale evidence base and received the conclusions of independent examinations that confirm the anti-Ukrainian activities of the figure who, after the start of the full-scale war, continued to spread the Kremlin's narratives, in particular on YouTube.

According to the SBU, during the interview both the author himself and his guests repeatedly tried to justify Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, as well as the war crimes of the occupiers.

Max Nazarov (real name — Nazar Diorditsa) worked as a TV presenter, in particular at a TV channel that, until its closure in 2022, was controlled by ex-Deputy of the People's Republic of Ukraine Viktor Medvedchuk, suspected of treason.

Nazarov's accomplice, who appeared on his broadcasts as an «expert», was also suspected. According to activist Serhiy Sternenko, «expert» is Dmytro Korniychuk.
