PlayStation Removes This PS5 Game From PSN After Surprise Appearance

Sometimes games accidentally end up available online. Errors that are often quickly corrected and more or less serious, which delight the most curious. And on its PlayStation Store, the Japanese publisher realized that a title had been available for months, when it was not supposed to be. A title since removed from the online store.

Removed from PSN by PlayStation

Usually, games that are mistakenly available on online stores are removed after a few hours, days, or even weeks. But in this case, Sony realized the problem only after several months. Not in a AAAA way Skull & Bones on the menu, but one of the most popular indie games of its genre: Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. Released in 2015, Hotline Miami 2 is the direct sequel to the excellent Hotline Miami. The title takes up the gameplay of its predecessor, with a top-down view centered on the main character and an extremely dynamic game.

The enemies are numerous, discreet, sometimes hidden, fast, and above all kill you in one hit. Depending on their weapon and equipment, their characteristics change. Players of the first Hotline Miami will not be disoriented, although the choice of abilities is more limited in this second opus. Despite everything, Hotline Miami 2remains a very good game. However, the title developed by Dennaton Games and published by Devolver Digital, had no place on the Australian PlayStation Store if we are to believe PlayStation.

For months, Hotline Miami 2 was available there. Players bought it, and PlayStation had to rectify the situation. Hotline Miami 2 is no longer available on the Australian store.Affected players have been informed and refunded. The problem with this story is that Hotline Miami 2 was never authorized to be released in Australia, due to content considered too trashy, in the face of stricter restrictions than in other parts of the world.

PlayStation hasn't dwelt on the subject, especially since Hotline Miami 2 isn't the first game to being available on the PlayStation Store when it shouldn't be. Regardless, we hope that the Australian players concerned had time to finish the title before it disappeared from their libraries.
