The founder of the Telegram messenger Pavlo Durov in response mocked Mark Zuckerberg after the statement make Facebook and Instagram more free.

Durov noted that Zuckerberg «is not risking anything» for the sake of freedom of speech, because in the USA it has become safe.

«I'm proud that Telegram supported free speech long before it became politically safe. Our values ​​are independent of US election cycles.

Today, other platforms are announcing that they will now have less censorship. But the real test of their newfound values ​​will come when the political winds shift again. It's easy to say you're supporting something when you're not risking anything», — wrote Durov on his page.
