Oura's smart ring has a new feature that will help detect the first signs of illness based on physiological changes in the body, The Verge reports. We'll tell you the details.
Oura has launched a new feature Symptom Radar — a tool that analyzes body data to warn about the risk of disease even before symptoms appear.
Symptom Radar analyzes indicators such as heart rate, temperature, breathing and other parameters to warn about a possible disease. For example, changes in the body can appear a day or two before symptoms appear.
If the device detects significant deviations from baseline indicators during synchronization in the morning, the user will receive a notification about signs of illness. In case of risk, Oura recommends activating the rest mode to better take care of your health.
According to the head of the company's scientific department, Shyamal Patel, the development is based on a large array of data collected during the COVID-19 pandemic. This feature began testing in April 2023 and is now available to all Oura Ring Gen 3 and Gen 4 users.
