Okean Elsa presented the first English-language album in 30 years

The popular Ukrainian rock band Okean Elzy, which celebrates its 30th anniversary on October 12, released its first ever English-language album “Lighthouse”.

The album included ten compositions . The tracks are already available on all music platforms.

The name of the album translates as “lighthouse”. As Svyatoslav Vakarchuk notes, it metaphorically reflects hope for the future. Earlier, Okean Elzy presented music videos for two songs from the album: “Voices Are Rising” and “Lighthouse”.

It's a nice feeling. We have done a good job this year. I like that we worked in different cities – New York, Los Angeles and London, – Vakarchuk shared his emotions.

To work on the album, the band involved various songwriters and producers, and they recorded it in different studios. However, the musicians from Okean Elsa recorded the album remotely.

I missed the presence of our musicians. But it was a different experience. So why not? We are satisfied with what we have done. People will be able to hear another Elsa Ocean. And it's not a matter of language, but of a new approach and ideas. But the spirit of Okean Elsa is present in it, Vakarchuk added.
