A few weeks ago, we shared this moving statement from Hayden Christensen to Ewan McGregor, the two actors being known mainly for their respective roles as Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars saga. And more recently, it was McGregor who spoke out, giving some information on the potential sequel to the series dedicated to his cult character.
Among the most iconic science fiction franchises in the history of cinema, the Star Wars saga is most certainly one of the most popular around the world. The universe imagined by the now famous George Lucas has given birth to an incredible franchise, which continues to be developed even today through different formats, whether books, video games, films or even series.
And precisely, speaking of series, the latter struggle to achieve unanimity among fans. While some like The Mandalorianhave managed to seduce the public, most of the series from Lucasfilm and Disney are often the subject of criticism, the latest being The Acolyte. One could then think that if these new projects fail to seduce the spectators, it is partly because they generally put forward new characters, and therefore unknown to the public.

Because the famous Jedi Master of the prequels was entitled to his own series in 2022, marking the return of Ewan McGregor in the title role, as well as that of Hayden Christensen in that of Darth Vader. However, the Star Wars mini-series did not manage to get everyone to agree.
But despite the criticism, McGregor is still up for a sequel, and that's exactly what the actor recently opened up about. Indeed, as reported on X (formerly Twitter), it was during Los Angeles Comic-Con this weekend that the actor reportedly revealed that they were “exploring” ideas for a second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
McGregor also said that he wanted to wear the clone armor that his character has in The Clone Wars, but also that he wanted to have more flashbacks with Hayden Christensen.
For the moment, neither Disney nor Lucasfilm have confirmed that a second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi is planned, but the actor had already expressed his interest in returning to the franchise several times this year.
