The Norwegian government has decided to extradite a Ukrainian citizen who entered the country as a refugee to Moldova, where he is under investigation.
This was reported by "European Pravda" citing the Norwegian publication Harstad Tidende.
The Ukrainian entered Norway with his family as a refugee from the war, but Moldova issued an international arrest warrant for him.
Moldovan law enforcement officials claim that the man committed aggravated robbery, which he denies.
The Ukrainian citizen was arrested in the municipality of Kvæfjord in northern Norway in December 2023, and has been in custody since then.
Now the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security has made a final decision on his extradition, which will take place on June 18.
