On the morning of February 11, the company suffered a cyber incident, the municipal enterprise Poltavateploenergo reported. The result was a loss of communication with the dispatch service of all 56 automated boiler rooms and a complete shutdown of 14 boiler rooms. This led to stopping the heat supply to homes of Poltava residents, — says the first deputy general director of «Poltavateploenergo» Igor Protsay. He adds: all automated boiler rooms had to be turned on manually.

Currently, an assessment of the damage caused and restoration is underway so that we can continue to work. We all understand that this may not be the last impact on the critical infrastructure facility.
As of 12 noon, all boiler houses in Poltava were operational, and heat supply was restored. Consumers were without heat for several hours.
